All right, here are my first set of actions! I have five for you guys: two meant for outdoor screenshots and three for indoor screenshots. Of course, you can choose to use whatever action you want on whatever photo you want. Sky’s the limit.
Outdoor actions are inspired by the two worlds available in TS4. Oasis Springs brings out the red tones of the desert rocks in the distance, and it makes the greenery look weathered and thirstier. The colours become even warmer and more vibrant once the sun begins to set. Willow Creek is based off the lush greenery of the world. The greens are brighter, the skies are bluer (cyan-ier!), and the purple and pink flowers take on a brighter hue. Both these actions are perfect for the decently-lit outdoors, and won’t turn your sim into any sort of unnatural hue. Unless, of course, they were born a berrysim.
The second group of actions are meant for the dimmer indoor screenshots. They add brightness without making it look overexposed, or that you’ve added a light fixture to every square inch of your sim’s home. Cooped up is warm with a pink soft light, which will make your sims look really pretty. Warm in here is meant to evoke the generic glow of tungsten light (available in all generic homes everywhere). But if you want to get clinical, there’s always Fluorescent adolescents, which can turn any orange-toned shot into something more bleak and blue. Want to kill your sim in a dim and dingy room? Fluorescent adolescents is the mood lighting you’re looking for.
Sales and marketing pitch over. You can download these actions over HERE.
Installation is fairly easy. Once you’ve clicked download, double-click the .atn file and Photoshop will open itself up for rainbow-coloured snuggles. If you don’t have Photoshop, I would get rich or ask a pirate.
